Terrible disappointment. Overpriced. Food was not good. My husband had a hair in his breakfast potatoes. Both of our breakfasts were completely bland. Either one of us could've gone in the back and made better scrambled eggs! The sausage and bacon tasted a little weird. What a waste of money. We hardly made a dent in our plates, then left and tried to get a better breakfast at a nearby bakery.

Mango's is the new restaurant at Perry's on Daytona Beach. It doesn't look like much from outside and we didn't try it until our last day there. If we had, we might not have gone anywhere else. The crab omelette was wonderful as was the bacon/feta one. The coffee was good too. Service was friendly. The place is light and airy. It's great!

We went here twice during our two day trip to Daytona Beach because it was directly beside our hotel. I had the mango fish wrap and fries and both were really good! The second time we went back for breakfast before leaving town and service was REALLY slow when we were kind of in a hurry although the place didn't appear to be busy (there was only one other table with guests). I think they maybe had a lot of to-go calls or something. Either way, the food was good and fairly priced. Friendly staff. Cute little spot right by the beach. The bird outside is a butthole.

A huge portion of perfectly grilled fish resting on tasty grits, topped with fresh RED tasty tomatoes lured me yesterday, and back again today. I live in Orlando, born a Yankee, and will drive to Mango Sun just for this dish. If you're anywhere near Daytona STOP and enjoy this diner and the friendly folks who grill and serve.

We went for breakfast. The food was good better then denny or ihop but nothing stood out amazing. we had the pineapple fritters which I thought would have been a big chunk of pineapple considering the size of the fritter. it was the small canned pineapple chunk and majority of the fritters had the pineapple out side the fritter and not even in the center. the corned beef hash was good with the added onions and peppers. the hash browns were a little on the greasy side. If I were staying at a hotel near and could walk i would go again but I wouldn't drive out of my way. The prices were every reasonable.
Great service great lunch! Delicious pineapple fritters with a mango creme sauce appetizer. Spicy mango fish wrap and mango bbq chicken sandwich. Great server, cook even came out. Food had "fun twists" and perfect balance. Loved the two parrots. Nice coconut granular hand scrub in the bathroom. Two parrots outside are a fun treat to visit with. Took one star because the place seems "unfinished" or not as classily dressed as the 5-star food. Our best eats the entire week came from here! May 2015. Still great food and inconsistent delivery speed. Ordered fish tacos--they came blackened. Fish was good but didn't enjoy the blackening seasoning and it was not identified as such on the menu. Same blackening on the wrap--but it was identified on the menu. Side was strawberry and banana slices--pretty dried out but still a nice healthy alternative.

Great food BUT........ even more amazing bunch of people!!!! We had hands down the best breakfast in eons here in Daytona Beach at Mango! She had the seafood omelet and I the Fish and grits. MMmmmm MMmmmm! We also had their delectable fritters but honestly they should of been saved for dessert cause they were also just that good! and proper proportions all around. WTG folks you know how to run a restaurant! We'll be back every year now! Thanks! BTW... LOVE THAT YOU BRING YOUR FIDS TO WORK!!! (Birdies)

Came here twice while vacationing and staying about a half mile away. Totally worth the walk. Tried the mango salsa fish wrap the first time. Per the menu description the fish is supposed to be blackened, which it was not, just grilled. But it was still delicious. Really fresh, flaky, perfectly cooked. The mango salsa was also very fresh tasting and well balanced, not too sweet. I got the side salad with raspberry vinaigrette, which was a little too sweet for my preference but it was on the side so I just added less. Friend got the same thing but with fries and she loved them. Second time I got the crab Benedict, which comes as more of a croissant sandwich instead of the traditional Benedict. but it was still really delicious. only docking a star because there was very little crab compared to what I was expecting - maybe 3 or 4 small lumps. vs traditional eggs Benedict where you have a little meat in every bite, I had to ration my crab bits and save them for my last few bites basically. had this with the breakfast potatoes, which are LIKE CRACK. seriously, I'm not the biggest fan of breakfast potatoes but I could eat like 3 orders of these. the place was very clean both times, and the staff was very friendly and helpful when asking about the menu. everything tasted very fresh and was reasonably priced.

The boyfriend and I LOVED this place while we were visiting. We ate here 3 times. The pineapple fritters are to die for. The sauce is delicious and tropical. The fish tacos are the best I've ever bad. Very fresh and the flavor of the fish was perfect. The clam chowder and homemade biscuits were also very good.

Mango Sun is well reviewed already and did not disappoint. The fish tacos were amazing, service was good and I just had the chicken tenders which were not the best I've ever had but we're still good and appeased my appetite. The cafe is close to the beach, and well placed, clean and the professional service was excellent. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a quick and inexpensive breakfast/lunch experience.

It tries to be Peach Valley, but hey, it was crowded by the time we left, so maybe it's got some winners hidden in the menu. The pineapple fritters were not my favorite..at all. Service was slow, and it was a little dark for a breakfast place in Florida. I also thought they were a little expensive for the taste, lack of true variety, and sizes. I wouldn't choose to go back here.

We purchased a GROUPON when we booked our vacation in February. The reviews online were great and we were excited about trying the food. Everything was outstanding especially Lisa. Great personality, great customer service and she really knows the menu. She guided me to the blackened Balsa with grits and it was magnificent. My husband got the Eggs Benedict. They were fabulous also. We will be back. With or without GROUPON. Prices were very fair for the food you received. We met the Owner and Cook. Really great people. Don't forget this restaurant when visiting. You will not be disappointed.

My mom, aunt and I sat the the tiki bar at Perry's and ordered from the limited lunch menu there. I'm not sure it's the fault of Mango's that the bartender wasn't very knowledgable about the menu offerings (ie. what is on the chicken wrap). Between the three of us, we got a fish taco, hamburger, and ranch chicken wrap - all came with fries. I'd say the worst of the three was the ranch chicken wrap - it was very bland with no noticeable ranch taste. The hamburger was ordered because of so many good reviews, but we thought it was pretty average (they asked how I wanted it cooked and it made me hopeful it would be the nice and juicy medium I asked for, but it was definitely overcooked) and small for the bun - I didn't think it would come completely plain with no toppings (there were mayo and ketchup packets but also no question as to what I wanted on it). The fries were decent, but overall there weren't enough ketchup packets to go around between the fries the three of us had and the plain burger. The food took over 30 min to come out so we didn't bother asking for more ranch for the wrap when it really could have used it. The fish tacos were REALLY good and added a star to this review. My aunt and I each had one and the mango salsa and sauce made them tasty. I would order again from here just for those.

My family and I came there and had one of the most enjoyable experiences of our lives. Our server, lisa was so sweet to say the least. She knew the menu well and made several suggestions. She went out of her way to play with our young children so we decided to go back to see her this past. Sunday. Unfortunately lisa was not there and we were rudely greeted by another server. I believe her name was Sharon and she was so rude we ended up leaving. Other than this person Mangos is amazing and we will be back but only if Sharon isn't there. I don't mean to sound harsh but who wants a person like that as an employee. She isn't an asset she is detrimental to the business.

Wonderful and charming neighborhood cafe.Sharon was exceptional,; made suggestions on menu items and quantity! We all enjoyed our entrees and didn't leave s morsal behind!! 8 of us, staying at Perry's came in for lunch the day my sister and her family arrived to Daytona Beach. There was one server, and he ROCKED out on both personality and service! The food was really great, everyone loved what they got... Me? The chicken salad sandwich....on a butter toasted kaiser bun with fries. I love that they make the chicken salad simple, salt, pepper, chicken breast, mayo and seasonings...it was really tasty! The kids got chicken tenders..hand breaded chicken breast pieces that tasted so fresh and good. Hubby had the fish tacos, he is a sort of fish taco connoisseur..and he loved them! Son had the turkey sandwich, and loved it. Very good and fresh food, with good service. OH! and ask to meet Mango, she is such a sweet bird! She will play peek a boo with you! Thank you guys for a great lunch, actually calling down my lunch order for today right now :)

Moved here recently across the street from Perry's. First went to the Tiki bar....awesome family that run it and Mango's. Mango's Cafe is amazing. Breakfast is great. Eggs Benedict is my favorite, but they have the traditional waffles, pancakes which you can get loaded with fruits, nuts, whipped cream. (Oh, GREAT Bloody Mary's) Lunch is always great to. I usually eat one of the chicken wraps and my other have gets fried fish basket and clam chowder. A must try, in my opinion!!

As we walk in to get seated we are standing next to the door and on the counter there is two bowls dirtier than ever with two beta fish swimming in BROWN water. I look at my husband with disgust but yet we still say yes two for lunch and get seated. As we get seated the waitress grabs our drink order. She brought us our drinks and silverware we then ordered some biscuits and gravy. I look down at my "clean silverware" and the napkin around them has messy finger prints on it... I wad up the napkin and put it towards the end of the table and put my silverware to the side. I start to shake the ketchup because the bottle looked old and seems to me its one of those restaurants that refill the bottles and never get new ones. To my surprise there was a clunking sound in the ketchup. I hand it to my husband; he shakes it, clunking sound again. Our waitress comes back and we order our food. We then ask her what they put in their ketchups and she looked at us with confused look so we hand her the bottle and she shakes it. She then says I'm sorry I have no idea what that is let me go investigate this and bring you a new bottle. Ok fair enough. 20 minutes later our "appetizer" of biscuits and gravy come she sets it down and says she will be right back. I wait for her to get back so that way I can get some more napkins since mine was dirty.... No coming back for her. Waited and Waited and finally said oh well I guess ill go ahead and eat without napkins. 40 minutes AFTER we finish our biscuits and gravy... No site of ANY waitress, No knew ketchup, No napkins, NO FOOD!?!?!? The table next to us started complaining about how long their food is taking and the "manager" says she's sorry but she's really busy at the Tiki Bar then in a rush to run back out to the bar puts her hand up to the lady at the table and says ill be right back... If that's how a manager shows costumer service this place is going go in to the shits. You have 3 tables inside waiting for their food for more than half an hour and all 3 tables are complaining about how long it is taking. As we are about to get up and leave our food finally comes. We read all the good reviews and thought we better stay and at least try it. Have to wave down a waitress for my napkins and ketchup. I finally get to eat... my omelet is runny and watered down and gross as can be. My husbands sandwich was the smallest thing I've ever seen he even said both of our plates would have been better if we just made them at home... NEVER GOING BACK- AWFUL SERVICE, FOOD & ATMOSPHERE.

Wanted to love this place. It would have had 4 stars had it not been steamy in there and quicker turn around for food. It was 3.5. It was hot in there and it took an hour to get our burger and fish sandwich. The burger was a bit too large but flavor was decent. Fish sandwich was fresh although there was no tartar sauce on it nor lemon included. I asked the server and she delivered. Both were baskets which came with French fries which were cooked perfectly. There was only one server and she was owning it. I noticed a lot of patrons ordered the pineapple fritters and fish tacos which I will try next time. There are a few other spots I'd checked out before my return but think it's a decent option for reasonably priced and good take out on beach side. Entrées are on average $8-$9. Lots of options.
